New volunteer opportunities within Peregrini Lindisfarne are now closed as the project finished in December 2017. 

As part of our legacy strategy opportunities under the Community Archive Project will continue. These will be available from a new website and online archive currently under development and will be found at www.islandshirearchives.org.uk

Conservation volunteering in 2018

If you are interested in continuing to help conserve the natural and historic environment then Coast Care might be for you.

Coast Care is a new partnership initiative between the Northumberland Coast AONB PartnershipNorthumberland Wildlife Trust and Seahouses Development Trust  which has been supported by players of the National Lottery via the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Coast Care will support, train and resource volunteers so that local people, communities and visitors are able to contribute to the management, conservation and development of our amazing natural and cultural heritage.

The Coast Care team are based at Seahouses. The Coast Care team are Project Coordinator Tim Morton, and Project Assistants Laura Shearer and Anna Chouler. You can contact them via the Coast Care Website

The Peregrini Lindisfarne Landscape Partnership Scheme is managed by a Partnership of professional and community representatives from Holy Island and surrounding shore side area. The lead organisation for the Scheme is the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership, hosted by Northumberland County Council.
