Developing the Peregrini Lindisfarne Landscape Partnership

In 2011, Heritage Lottery Funding was approved to embark on an 18-month development phase for a Landscape Partnership Scheme called Peregrini Lindisfarne. A Scheme Development Officer was employed to coordinate the preparation of the Landscape Partnership Action Plan (LCAP).

An LCAP acts as a 'manifesto' for the landscape, its people and its communities. It is the focus of the partnership’s development phase, a team effort, embodying the shared aspirations and intentions of the LP partners, providing a coherent vision during the HLF funding and beyond.

The development of the LCAP took place between November 2011 and January 2013 and was developed by the Peregrini Lindisfarne Partnership Board. The board is made up of members of the community, volunteers, the local authority and agencies working in the area with a specific remit for heritage landscape planning, management and protection.

The Scheme was subsequently re-profiled between March and June 2014. Changes to the original LCAP are reflected in Appendix 1 or the LCAP. Additional consultation activities were completed as part of the re-profiling and can be found in Appendix 2
