Weather-proofing Peregrini Willow Sculptures

Come and help paint our willow sculptures in readiness for their release into the wild! 10am to 1pm, Thursday 22nd of June at Beal.

A morning treating the collection of sculptures created by Anna Turnbull and volunteers for the Lindisfarne Nature Trail. 20 individuals pieces that range from eider chicks to flying Brent Geese require treating to protect them from the elements.

The sculptures will be sited at various points around the Lindisfarne Nature Trail, much of which is situated in the Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve. An eco-friendly substance will be used to ensure no harm is caused to the Reserve, and which should make this task a pleasurable experience!

The event will take place at Natural England's reserve headquarters at Beal between 10am and 1pm.

Paintbrushes and refreshments will be provided.

The Peregrini Lindisfarne Landscape Partnership Scheme is managed by a Partnership of professional and community representatives from Holy Island and surrounding shore side area. The lead organisation for the Scheme is the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership, hosted by Northumberland County Council.
